The Village of Spencer compost site is open for brush and yard waste disposal. Grass clippings, leaves and garden waste should be put on the first compost pile as you enter the site. A new brush pile has been started already. Our plan is to chip our brush in the future. We have been asked not to allow stumps on the pile, as they can damage the chipper. If you have a large amount of brush from major tree trimming or removal work, it is recommended to have the contractor remove the brush themselves, rather than to add to the pile.
